Ineke

My name is Ineke Kroon.

As a retiree who hasn't lived in Epe for very long, I think it's important to settle in and feel part of the community. From my own experience, I know that you need other people to help with that—people who notice you, strike up a conversation, and help you find your way around.

My work with Thuis in Epe is all about that. I notice that the residents of the Fletcher Hotel also appreciate being seen and having the chance to connect with others. Playing games is a wonderful way to bring people together. I love board games and just spending relaxed time with one another, simply enjoying each other's company.

I love harmony, and I believe that connection is a vital part of that. The games, the conversations, and other activities all help build those connections. That is something I am very passionate about! Being able to contribute something positive gives me such a happy feeling, and I am always touched by the kindness, helpfulness, and involvement of the people I meet.
