Leyla Rides the Bicyle!
Cycling brings freedom
A bicycle, a volunteer, and a world that opens up.
For Leyla, who is from Somalia, being able to ride the bike is something truly special. She didn't know how to ride a bike before, but she certainly had the courage and a great desire to learn. Leyla received a few cycling lessons from a volunteer, and it turns out that learning to ride is a lot of fun!
Today, she rides all by herself. What a wonderful moment. We are all so proud of Leyla! And of everyone who has bravely started learning to cycle. It truly is a victory—the freedom to go out on your own and the joy of learning something new.
A bicycle doesn't just get you from A to B. It gives you the independence to go to school, the shop, or visit friends. It allows you to explore your surroundings and feel more and more at home.
Sometimes, getting involved starts with something small. A bicycle, a few lessons, and someone who takes the time to help you. That is how new possibilities, new encounters, and more freedom begin.
